The Story of Stuff

Story_of_stuff_2

If you have 20 minutes to spare today, I firmly recommend you head over to http://www.storyofstuff.com and watch the interactive movie. It's a really nice, entertaining look at the broad lifecycle of the things we buy, and how they impact the Earth.

It speaks to me, because I grow increasingly frustrated with green websites that attempt to answer questions such as: "Which knee-high boots are greener? Leather or synthetic leather?" Ridiculous. If you want to be greener, either buy less stuff, or buy stuff that perpetuates a renewable cycle.

Check out The Story of Stuff.
